Assam, where the indigenous tea tree grows wild, is the largest tea growing area in India. Assam tea is rich and full bodied with a pungent character. The best quality tea is a rich golden brown colour in the cup and is used in many top quality blends. OP – Orange Pekoe consists of large, whole tea leaves picked without the flower bud of the tea plant.
